Father is my senior thesis film that portrays three fragments of the interactions between a father and a son. Between the ambiguous storylines, the question being asked is, what does it mean to create?
Filmmaking is itself a process of creation, so are many other things in this world. Reproduction, construction, writing, engineering. Is creation the process of endowment of life? Religions believe that the God creates human being, and we all know children are “created” by their parents, but what about those creations that are not alive? What about machines, stories, painting, and films? Is it ever possible that those “objects” will possess lives. If so, what do their creators become? Does a "son" always eventually becomes a "father"?
